Ah, it’s that time of year again. And the same old question. And believe us, you are by no means alone in asking it. There are many wives asking the exact same thing.
The two of you sat down weeks ago and spent time discussing what to buy the kids, what to get for mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, Auntie Rosemary, Uncle Mark, brothers, sisters, first cousins, next door’s two kids, the dog, the two cats, and probably a load more.
Then you went into town at the weekend and did the big shop, spending all day Saturday and half of Sunday scouring the shopping centre. More time scrolling through page after page on Amazon. You can sit back and breathe a sigh of relief because all that there is to do now is to buy the Christmas tree and get all the decorations down from the loft, decorate the tree and hang ribbons around the sitting room, buy a turkey and put it in the freezer, and at long last you will be all set.
Apart from one thing. You haven’t a clue what to buy your husband. After all, what do you buy for the man who has everything? Well, maybe not quite everything. He still hasn’t got that Rolls-Royce Phantom, but that’s, well, a bit over the top for Christmas, even though he is your husband.
